Weekly Blog

This week in the academy, we had two days off of school. Yes!  On Monday, we had the props for our atomic theory skits due, but for homework that day, all we had to do was to continue working on our project, so Monday was pretty uneventful.  But I did get to leave early from school for an orthodontist appointment.
Tuesday, well that was a different story.  On Tuesday, we first headed to Mr. Riechles room for the "How the states got their shapes" assignment, which Mr. Riechle assigned a certain country to our specific rows in the classroom, and we had to find certain statistics about the countries we weere assigned using the CIA World Factbook website.  Then we headed back to the Academy Room and most of us put the final touches on our Atomic Theory skit.  For the last portion of the day we worked on the English paragraph writing, which took us to the end of the school day.  Tuesday was pretty nice, because we didnt have any extra work or assignments.
That brings me to Wednesday.  This was the big day, because on Wednesday we had to perform our atomic theory skits, which i'm pretty sure most people started to fret about.  When the skits started, we had to take notes on each of the individual people everyones skit was about.  Then it finally came time for my skit.  For my skit I paired up with Sara Heyerdahl and Haile Kritner, knowing that if I paired up with almost anyone else, I would be totally distracted from my work and not get the skit done.  When our skit was finally over, I actually felt pretty good about our skit and I was sort of relieved that I just didn't totally screw up.  That is what I did in the Integrated Learning Academy this week.
